Your first session

It is a conversation to get to know each other. You do not need to prepare anything.

  • Before

We send the intake forms through a separate portal and give you the cost in writing. If it will be by video, we test the connection.

  • During

It lasts about 50 minutes. You say what you want; your therapist explains how they work, the limits of confidentiality and the possible risks and benefits of therapy.

  • After

You decide together whether to go on and at what pace. If it is not what you are looking for, we give you the names of colleagues.

How to arrive or connect

At the office, come in by the main door and go to the waiting room. By video, we send you a link; you can also wait for a call.

Questions about the first session

What happens in the first session?

It is a conversation to get to know each other. You say what you want, your therapist explains how they work, the limits of confidentiality and the possible risks and benefits of therapy, and together you decide whether to go on.

How often, and for how long?

A session lasts about 50 minutes. Your therapist suggests a pace, and you adjust it to your work and your week. Nobody promises you a number of sessions.

What is confidential, and what are the limits?

What you say in session stays in your record, and we share it only as the law allows. There are exceptions, for example if someone is in serious danger. Your therapist explains them in the first session.
